At Grène Design, we transform outdoor spaces into living, breathing ecosystems that connect your home to nature and bring beauty, biodiversity, and meaning to everyday life.

Gardens That Breathe

You want a home that feels alive—connected to nature, full of beauty, and in harmony with the world around it.
But too often, outdoor spaces are treated as afterthoughts—sterile lawns, disconnected from the home and the local ecosystem.

At Grène Design, we believe your garden should do more than just look nice.
It should breathe. It should support life—plants, birds, insects, and people.
That’s why Grène is on a mission to greenify the planet, one villa plot at a time.

Whether you're working with a small courtyard or a large estate, Grène designs biodiverse landscapes that blend seamlessly with the architecture of your home—using natural materials and inviting nature to flow from outside in.
Even your interiors can become part of the ecosystem, reminding us that we’re not the only living beings here.

Let’s create a space that feels alive

Together, we can turn your surroundings into something truly meaningful—where beauty and biodiversity coexist, and your home becomes a sanctuary for life.

Why choose a natural garden?

Many people want to help nature but don’t know where to start.
They keep a tidy lawn, thinking it’s good for the garden—but it’s not helping biodiversity.

The truth is, a standard lawn supports very little life. It’s like a green desert.
But just 10 square meters of tall perennials and decorative grasses can become a buzzing mini-ecosystem—filled with bees, butterflies, birds, and rich soil life.

You don’t need a wild meadow to make a difference.
Plant tall, flowering perennials. Let them grow.
You’ll see more life in one season than your lawn has seen in years.

When you plant for nature, nature shows up.

Landscape Architecture

& Garden design

  • Office landscape

This is a large corporate landscape project, which I was entrusted to design by AK83 Arkitekter. I carried the project from the very first hand sketch through 3D modeling and visualization.

It has been an enriching journey, and I look forward to contributing to your garden, corporate, or municipal green public space projects.

    Office landscapes

When AK83 Arkitekter asked me to design the landscape for their client’s headquarters, I saw an opportunity to create more than just a beautiful setting—I wanted to design an experience.

I believe that the journey matters. That’s why I shaped winding paths around the building, encouraging exploration, curiosity, and moments of surprise. As you walk, you’re met with changing views, bursts of color, shifting flower forms, and the gentle scent of diverse, tall perennials and grasses—each element chosen to create a sense of wonder.

I'm deeply grateful to AK83 Arkitekter for their trust, and to Buus for bringing the vision to life.

    Drawing Spaces That Invite Discovery

I sketch by hand—straight from imagination. I think in patterns, forms, colors, and movement. Every line on the paper is intentional, shaped by spatial thinking and a deep sense of place.

This approach opens up endless possibilities to invent unique spatial experiences, tailored to each site. In this project, the challenge was clear: a long, narrow plot constrained by a required fire truck sand road. My goal was to integrate that path naturally—so it felt like it belonged all along.

When you design through movement, the journey doesn’t stop at the edge of the site. It can ripple out—shaping how people experience an entire neighborhood. That’s where my passion for landscape design and city planning meet, and where boundaries between disciplines begin to blur.

Designing with Trust—and Letting Nature Take the Lead

This image is from an office landscape project I worked on at AK83 Architects.

What I love about landscape design is the chance to give as much of the ground as possible back to nature—reserving only the necessary surfaces for durable hardscape elements, like those provided here by Flib Beton.

One of the most rewarding parts of this project was the collaboration—with brilliant lighting designers from Anker & Co and Toan Le.

  • Office landscape

In the end, every successful project—whether it’s architecture, interiors, or landscape—comes down to one thing: trust. Trust in each other’s abilities. Trust that we’ll deliver what we promise.

I’m truly grateful for the trust I was given. It helped me grow—not just as a professional, but in my own confidence and creative voice.

Designing Gardens That Feel Alive—And Uniquely Yours

My landscape design style centers on shrubs, perennial plants, and ornamental grasses—not just because they’re beautiful, but because they also provide food and shelter for small creatures, bringing the garden to life in more ways than one.

What excites me most is working with the colors of your garden. That’s where your personal expression can truly bloom—through every season, every flower, every shift of light.

For me, garden design is a creative collaboration. And I’m here to help you fall in love with your garden and feel just as inspired by it as I do.

    Privat garden

This was Grene Design’s very first garden—and it grew from care and a deep belief that every garden should reflect the people who live in it.

Every centimeter of the site was thoughtfully planned in phases, making it easy for the family to grow their garden over time, step by step. What emerged wasn’t just a beautiful outdoor space, but a deeply personal expression of their dreams—shaped by their tastes, and ideas for how they wanted to live in the garden.

It’s more than a garden. It’s their story, made visible through nature.

    Urban landscapes

My love for landscape architecture began at Arrow Architects, where I was trusted to design urban spaces that bring people together.

From large-scale development manuals to detailed public landscapes, I was encouraged to think creatively about how physical spaces shape human connection. With each project, my goal was simple: to create places with a strong identity—spaces where people feel they belong, where they want to linger, meet, and simply be.

That’s where my passion was rooted: in designing places that feel alive with purpose and possibility.

  • Modern architectural building surrounded by trees and greenery, with a landscaped courtyard and glass windows, set against a natural backdrop.

    Hotel landscape

When Johannes Torpe Studios invited me to join the Visegrád Hotel project in Budapest, I saw a chance to shape an experience that flows with the land and the people who move through it.

The terraced terrain offered a natural rhythm, and each level was carefully designed with purpose—whether it’s a space for children to play or a quiet corner for guests seeking privacy and calm.

I believe that landscapes should serve every visitor while celebrating the natural beauty of the site itself.

It was a true joy to bring this vision to life in such a stunning setting.

  • Hotel landscape

Framing the View—with Purpose and Personality

These hotel rooms open directly onto the golf course—so the landscape design needed to both embrace the view and clearly define the boundary.

That’s where the playful "glacier" form comes in—pushed gently upward to shape the space in a bold, memorable way. On a more practical note, the lawn transitions into a corten steel planter, creating a natural and durable edge.

If you’ve seen my work, you’ll know I have a soft spot for corten steel. It pairs beautifully with greenery, weathers elegantly, and holds up over time—both in strength and in style.

Simple, eye-catching design that lasts? That’s part of Grene’s DNA.

    Project done at Ak83 Arkitekter

  • Marie- Louise’s garden

I was entrusted with designing a private garden rich in biodiversity—providing food for people, birds, and animals, and filled with color and scent. Together with the client, we planned how the garden will evolve over the years, dividing it into zones that meet the needs of a family of four. It’s a cozy, heartfelt project—one I could design every day.

So if you have a garden, let me bring it to life.

  • Roof terrace landscape

Many urban spaces are missing something essential — meaningful places for people to connect and breathe.
While working on this project at UiWe Studio, I saw a common problem: we often design beautiful buildings, but forget to ask why people would gather there and what kind of experience they’d have.

    So, we asked different questions.
Why would someone choose to visit a rooftop garden?
What could the space offer beyond just plants — a place for community, rest, play, even regeneration?

We explored how a rooftop could become more than just a green surface — how it could serve as a multifunctional, circular system benefiting residents, visitors, and nature.

I believe in the power of green spaces in cities — on rooftops, balconies, terraces.

They may not be as efficient as ground-level gardens, but if they’re part of the plan from the start, they can become self-sustaining, vibrant ecosystems.

Even when we build on the land, we have the chance to give something back — by lifting nature up.

Not just for the planet’s sake — but for our own deep need for greenery, connection, and calm.
